René-Jules Lalique, master jeweler of Art Nouveau, changed his medium from metal to glass—and earned a place in history. Roughly a century after its opening, his Verrerie d’Alsace glassworks continues to produce some of the world’s most extraordinary crystal.
The Languedoc Vase was designed by René Lalique in 1929. Fashioned in satin-finished and polished crystal, the piece depicts cactus leaves in a graphic play on repetition. Featured in a dramatic black color.
