Akua Objects was founded in 2022 in Copenhagen by Annika Zobel Agerled and Josefine Arthur with a vision to create glassware as poetic objects. Akua Objects embarked on a journey to redefine the essence of tableware, infusing each designed piece with a soulful narrative and an exquisite aesthetic.

The inspiration for the fruits is drawn from Marianne's treasured garden. A very special place where the rosebuds are pruned only after the last frost of winter, and fruit trees stand tall row by row.

The apples are named after Marianne, who has her own apple orchard north of Copenhagen, and the fruits resemble a poetic continuation of the varieties in her garden. The small pink one, a pigeon, the green one, a Bodil Neergaard, and the pear carries the same silhouette as the sweet Comice.
