Footwear designer, philanthropist, business woman, wife, mother of two, basketball coach. And in 2023, Betzábe launched her eponymous luxury footwear brand, BETZÁBE. For Betzábe, life is always a balancing act.

Born in Guadalajara, Mexico, Betzábe developed an appreciation for the heritage of her local community at a young age. As a child, she was introduced to the art of shoemaking, discovering her passion for design and craft. Betzábe moved to the United States at the age of six, and in 2003, she married her high school sweetheart, Adrián González, who was beginning his career as a professional baseball player.

Sports run through Betzábe’s life. If Betzábe is not taking one of her daughters to their flag football games, golf practice or volleyball, she is coaching their basketball team. Sports will forever inspire her designs, as one can see in the details: color blocking, team graphics, contrast stitching, and an homage to the Los Angeles Dodgers blue and white stripes.
