Georg Jensen began from the art of a Danish silversmith and designer who achieved international prominence for his commercial application of modern metal design. The simple elegance of his works and their emphasis on fine craftsmanship are recognized around the world.

The Pitcher 02 was originally crafted in sterling silver in 1975 as a collaboration between Danish artist Henning Koppel and the Georg Jensen silversmith in Copenhagen. Reissued for the first time in stainless steel—its surface hand-polished for hours to achieve a mirror finish—the piece embodies the organic, sculptural forms that Koppel became know for through his iconic pitcher designs.
