Tokyo-based designer Yuta Ishihara launched Shihara in 2010, exploring geometric shapes and minimalism as the center of his collection. Under the innovative process of subtraction, Shihara utilizes concealed closures in his designs, allowing each to be styled in unique ways.

The rectangular prism form appears to float seamlessly around the earlobe when worn. It can also be worn for cartilage piercings. One side is an earring post. The appearance of the earring changes depending on the position of the center of gravity.
